About the Project

The ideas and goals behind Mosaic Paths.

This project isn't just about creating interactive math content. It's about making math puzzles that are interesting in the same way that STEM is interesting to STEM enthusiasts.

Rather than emphasizing memorization or repetitive practice, these puzzles are designed to reward curiosity, experimentation, and pattern recognition.

My hope is that players experience the same satisfaction that comes from discovering a mathematical idea or solving a scientific problem.

The original version of this puzzle didn't provide the variety I wanted, and its codebase had become difficult to extend. Rather than continue patching it, I started over and rebuilt it from the ground up with future expansion in mind.

Students tend to spam the Hexagon Operations puzzle.

One possible solution to this is to progressively freeze the tile, so it takes longer to spam than to think.

Planned Features

One of the next major goals is to integrate these puzzles into the Google educational ecosystem.
